    "I haven't retired from football." - Edward Afum, a former forward for Hearts of Oak and Kotoko

    Despite taking a long break from football, former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko striker Edward Afum has said he has not given up on the sport.

    In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Afum who hasn't had a club for a while reiterated his desire to play again.

    "I haven't given up playing football." I'm waiting to act until the ideal offer comes up. Many clubs are interested in my services," he remarked.

    In 2012, the 34-year-old forward played briefly for the Porcupine Warriors before leaving to play for Hearts of Oak in the following campaign.

    The former player for Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak signed a two-year contract with the Wonder Club in January 2019 and participated in the Normalization Committee's Special Competition.

    The former Great Olympics striker claimed one Premier League championship with Asante Kotoko.
