Goalie Fredrick Asare is called up by Asante Kotoko for the crucial Great Olympics match.

The management of Asante Kotoko has called up its gifted goalkeeper, Fredrick Asare, for Sunday's much-awaited Ghana Premier League Matchday 32 matchup against Accra Great Olympics.

One of the Reds' most important players, Asare, will go to Kumasi for the crucial Ghana Premier League game and is anticipated to return to the Black Stars camp on Monday.

The 26-man roster, which head coach Otto Addo chose for Ghana's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchups against Mali and the Central African Republic, includes the former Accra Lions goalie as a significant player.

The first qualification is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 19:00 at Stade 26 Mars in Bamako versus Mali. On Monday, June 10, 2024, there will be a matchup at Baba Yara Sports Stadium against the Central African Republic.

The Black Stars, who are now in fourth place in Group I, are hoping to win both games to increase their chances of making it to the World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

After 31 games, Asante Kotoko has 43 points, good for 10th place in the league standings.
