Salifu Ibrahim is expected to join FC Drita in Kosovo

Salifu Ibrahim

Salifu Ibrahim, a midfielder for Hearts of Oak, is close to joining FC Drita in Kosovo during the current transfer window.

The Phobians' current contract with the former Techiman Eleven Wonders player will expire at the end of the month, and attempts to convince the midfielder to sign a new one have failed.

The midfielder, though, has been dropped from the Ghanaian giants' team and will not play in their next Democracy Cup match against Asante Kotoko.

Salifu Ibrahim is anticipated to join the Kosovo giants to bolster their roster for the upcoming season, according to Wontumi FM, a Kumasi-based publication.

Ibrahim, who joined the team in 2021, had a key role in the 2020–2021 Ghana Premier League championship victory, winning MVP awards for both the league and the club. He amassed five trophies with the Phobians in all.

The midfielder, who has demonstrated flashes of elite play for the Rainbow Boys, is regarded as one of the best in the area.

The 24-year-old made 32 appearances in the just-finished Ghana Premier League, tallying two goals and ten assists.
