Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Matchroom Boxing, confronted Chris Eubank Jr. and told him that his actions were damaging his career. Eubank Jr. had recently said that he was leaving Wasserman Boxing to pursue free agency and get away from a potential fight with Conor Benn.

Nineteen years after the previous Eubank versus Benn match, Chris and Conor were about to square off in a triangular match that transcends generations, carrying on their fathers' renowned rivalry.

But on fight week, a positive drug test resulted in the collapse of the bout, and Benn was banished from British boxing. He returned to the United States approximately a year later.
Rather than Eubank, fights against fighters like undisputed world champion Janibek Alimkhanuly and debatable pound-for-pound champion Terence Crawford have been associated with Eubank; nonetheless, Hearn has insisted that he is amenable to holding the bout with Benn there.

It is now official that Eubank Jr. departed promoter Kalle Sauerland to pursue the biggest fights available, which would probably result in Eubank fighting in the US for the first time in his 36-fight career.

Hearn, who couldn't understand Eubank's decision-making, admitted to telling the 34-year-old that he was "clueless" when they ran into each other at the gym in an interview with Boxing Social.

"I told him you are clueless, but I don't know what the f**k you are doing with your career," during our conversation the other day in the gym. "What are you doing?" I asked.

"You have the Conor Benn fight; it is a complete fortune; you have no idea what you are doing," I exclaimed. Regarding Gervonta Davis, he states that, in actuality, we have no contractual authority to decide whether or not fights take place; instead, the British Boxing Board of Control and its commission make those judgments.

"They called off the fight for Conor Benn; he wanted to fight as soon as he learned about the test, and once the fight was called off, he demanded a million pounds to continue." It is a bunch of b*****s, how hypocritical boxing is.

"[It cannot occur] in the United Kingdom, but it is still possible and will soon in a matter of time be coming to pass. If I were Chris Eubank Jr., I would be waiting in line for that bout.

Notwithstanding the rumors of Eubank and Crawford fighting, Crawford has chosen to take on Israil Madrimov in an attempt to become the world champion at super-welterweight and top one of the all-time strongest cards.

Eubank brought up the fact that his elusive dancing partner is ineligible to fight in the UK during a recent back-and-forth between Benn and Eubank, who is now at odds again over Benn's contention that he can't obtain a major fight.
