Yaw Acheampong, the head coach of Aduana FC, has stated that he thinks his club should have defeated Hearts of Oak in the first half of their most recent league matchup.

After Aduana Stars defeated the Phobians 1-0 on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, Acheampong thought back on the opportunities lost that would have increased the margin of victory and made Hearts of Oak's problems worse.

Hearts of Oak's coach, Abubakar Ouattara, responded angrily to the setback, which was their third loss in four games.

The crucial win for Aduana Stars condemned Ouattara's club to a difficult stretch in the league.

We made the decision to keep the ball and move it as much as we could to open them up and then penetrate, but we were unlucky to waste several opportunities. Although it's football, we ought to have ended the match in the first half.

Aduana FC is positioned for a successful campaign as they occupy third place in the league standings with four games left in the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League season.
