"We lost to the Great Olympics because we couldn't connect on our opportunities." - Mr. Ogum

Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Asante Kotoko, has blamed their inability to convert their opportunities for his team's loss to Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League's week 32 encounter.

Steven Mukwala missed a penalty early in the game (16 minutes in), which would have given the home team the lead before the visitors eventually punished them.

Raymond Oko Gripman scored the game-winning goal from the far post with two minutes remaining in the first half, giving Great Olympics the lead going into halftime.

There were no further goals in the second half, and the Dade boys held on to win the match 1-0.

Prosper Narteh acknowledged in his post-game remarks that although the visitors offered them plenty of space, they needed to use their opportunities.

"I believe that the difference was our inability to convert our several opportunities, particularly in the first half. We had numerous opportunities to score, including the penalty.

They left a lot of room behind them in the first half, both on the left and the right, and we made excellent use of it.

"But after that, everything revolved around the last ball into the net or the final pass to a scorer."

With 43 points, Asante Kotoko is five points off the drop zone in tenth place in the league standings.
