Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics in danger of final day relegation after deadlock

On the last day of the 2023–24 Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak or Great Olympics could be demoted.

On Sunday evening, the two capital clubs squared off in the Ghanaian top-flight league's Week 33 match.

Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics battled it out for all three points in an encounter held at the Accra Sports Stadium, but they were unable to win.

The two clubs had to settle for a point apiece after a goalless deadlock.

Because of that outcome, Hearts of Oak may be sent down from the Ghana Premier League the following weekend if they fall short against Bechem United in their season-ending match.

Following today's tie with the Phobians, the Great Olympics are in the same scenario.
