With the win, Kotoko, who had lost to Accra Great Olympics 1-0 the week before, made a tremendous recovery.
Peter Amidu Acquah of Kotoko broke the scoreless first-half deadlock in the 58th minute. In the 86th minute, Bernard Somuah extended the lead, sealing the victory. Sherif Mohammed, Bernard Somuah, and Michael Kyei Dwamena were important substitutions that invigorated the match.
Before Real Tamale United plays their season-ending encounter against Accra Great Olympics, they will play an amazing match against Dreams FC. Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko's next game at Baba Yara Stadium is against Bofoakwa Tano.
